Crafting

Crafting is trained on Old School RuneScape. Molten glass, hides, then battlestaves if you bought the orbs. The live wiki keeps the rate.

Crafting in Old School RuneScape

Unlock

You can start with leather. Giant seaweed is for glass. Lunar Diplomacy unlocks Superglass Make (a spell that melts a whole inventory).

The route

  • Early

    Method
Make leather armour, gold jewellery, and use quest rewards.
    Place
    Stand at a bank.
    Click
Click the leather or the gold.
    Leave
Leave the toy jewellery when glass or hides open.
  • Mid

    Method
Blow molten glass from seaweed, or make green and blue dragonhide bodies.
    Place
    Stand at a bank.
    Click
Click the pipe on the glass, or the needle on the hide.
    Leave
Leave a hide you cannot sell.
  • Late

    Method
Make battlestaves, or the hide the wiki ranks.
    Place
    Stand at a bank.
    Click
Click one inventory, bank it, repeat.
    Leave
Leave if you are blowing glass with no seaweed runs behind it.

Inventory

Bring a glassblowing pipe. The cape comes later. A staff that teleports to a bank saves the walk. Bring only what this method uses. Leave the spare gear in the bank.

Money fork

Glass and hides often cost coins. Battlestaves can pay if you bought the orbs. Check the wiki before you buy a mountain of one hide.

Iron fork

If you cannot buy the supplies, gather them yourself. Stay on the earlier step until you have them.

Kit

Bring a glassblowing pipe. The cape comes later. A staff that teleports to a bank saves the walk.

Mistakes

Do not buy a pile of black dragonhide with nobody to sell it to. Do not plan glass with no seaweed.

Stop

Stop when you have the level you came for. A quest, a prayer, or a weapon. Level 99 is a cape. You do not need it to use the skill.

Official notes

XP rates move. Use the live wiki for the number. This page is the route.
