Unlock
Rune Mysteries starts you. The Abyss wants its short quest. Pouches hold extra essence. The Runespan needs no pouch.
The route
Early
- Method
- Harvest wisps in the Runespan and feed them to the rift.
- Place
- Stand on the low islands.
- Click
- Click the wisp, then the rift.
- Leave
- Leave for the Abyss only if you want runes to sell.
Mid
- Method
- Move to the higher islands, or craft the rune your level allows in the Abyss.
- Place
- Stand on that island, or at the Abyss entrance.
- Click
- Click the wisp, or fill the pouches.
- Leave
- Leave the Abyss if you will not bring food.
Late
- Method
- Craft the highest rune you can, or stay on the top island.
- Place
- Stand where the training page says.
- Click
- Click the pouch, then the altar, or the rift.
- Leave
- Leave soul runes unless the live page still lists that altar.
Inventory
Wear ethereal or wicked robes if you own them. Bring pouches for the Abyss. A pick is not the outfit. Bring only what this method uses. Leave the spare gear in the bank.
Money fork
The Runespan is for levels. Runes from the Abyss can sell. Check the wiki. Do not buy a lava-rune stack. That is the other game.
Iron fork
If you cannot buy the supplies, gather them yourself. Stay on the earlier step until you have them.
Kit
Wear ethereal or wicked robes if you own them. Bring pouches for the Abyss. A pick is not the outfit.
Mistakes
Do not paste Old School lava-rune math on this page. Do not enter the Abyss with no food and a cash stack.
Stop
Stop when you have the level you came for. A quest, a prayer, or a weapon. Level 99 is a cape. You do not need it to use the skill.
